Seg\u00fan una de las leyendas, Parinacota y Pomerape eran dos amantes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sin embargo, su realaci\u00f3n fue prohibida y y luego castigada por alguien que se opon\u00eda a su uni\u00f3n, convirtiendolos en cerros gemelos, los cuales est\u00e1n siempre cerca, mir\u00e1ndose pero sin poder tocarse.<\/span><\/p>\n

La Leyenda de la Mesa de la Iglesia de Parinacota:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Los antiguos habitantes del poblado de Parinacota contaban que en la iglesia se encontraba una mesa de madera, la cual simplemente se encontraba ah\u00ed como un mueble m\u00e1s del templo.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, a pesar del poco uso que se le daba, a la gente siempre les llamaba la atenci\u00f3n lo gastadas que estaban sus cuatro patas. Se dice que una noche, se vio a la mesa salir por las puertas de la iglesia, arrastr\u00e1ndose por las calles y con cuatro velas encendidas, como si de un funeral se tratase.<\/p>\n

La mesa de pronto dejaba de moverse frente a la puerta de una casa, y un tiempo despu\u00e9s una persona de esa casa fallec\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Se llegaba a creer que esa mesa estaba maldita, y que se encontraba pose\u00edda por alg\u00fan demonio o un esp\u00edritu. Incluso varias generaciones despu\u00e9s, el miedo a la muerte segu\u00eda siendo tal que el p\u00e1rroco decidi\u00f3 amarrarla a uno de los pilares del templo.<\/p>\n
