Antes de la nominaci\u00f3n a la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial, los Estados Parte firmaron una serie de declaraciones internacionales conjuntas que pusieron en relieve su acuerdo para proteger las secciones seleccionadas en el Qhapaq \u00d1an, Sistema Vial Andino. La protecci\u00f3n establecida, como resultado de estos acuerdos, responde a criterios internacionales, a las respectivas legislaciones nacionales sobre patrimonio y asegura el m\u00e1s alto nivel de protecci\u00f3n a todos los componentes del bien.<\/span><\/p>\n

Como se indica en las Directrices Pr\u00e1cticas para la aplicaci\u00f3n de la Convenci\u00f3n del Patrimonio Mundial, los bienes seriados pueden estar dentro del territorio de un mismo pa\u00eds o de cualquier n\u00famero de Estados Parte que compartan fronteras, denomin\u00e1ndose entonces bienes transfronterizos. En estos casos, la nominaci\u00f3n debe ser preparada y presentada conjuntamente por los pa\u00edses involucrados, estableciendo los mecanismos de gesti\u00f3n conjunta.<\/span><\/p>\n
