Summary of Monday the 9th
Our topic is tourism services
In the morning:
* The design students modified the moodboard that students from Belgium made. You can take a look on the document they uploaded in teams and discuss if you want to keep it or change something.
*The computer engineering helped the design students and started his work in the web page.
*The English student searched for information, and tried to help with the organization.
In the afternoon: We worked together
The archaeologist Juan Chacana gave us a lecture about Qhapac Ñan and answered our questions about our topic.
- The first question was: If a tourist wants to go through the entire road of Qhapac Ñan, how long will it take to?
He said it was impossible to calculate the time of the entire path of Qhapac Ñan. Nevertheless, go through the entire path across Chile, takes about a day approximately.
- The second question was: What countries are part of the Qhapac Ñan?
His answer was Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador y Perú.
- The third question was: What is the most important place of the Qhapac Ñan?
He answered there is not one important place in Qhapac Ñan because the entire road is important, but there’s one country where tourism to visit Qhapac Ñan is more developed, this place is Perú, due to their agriculture and the territory that goes through.
Other conclusions we developed from the lecture is that here in Chile there’s a lack of cultural promotion that’s why we are creating this website.
Additional information.
The Qhapac Ñan or “The real path” is an Andean Road System that unifies territories (countries) and cultures, this is the reason of being declared World heritage.
The Andean Road goes through different ecological zones, highlands, mountain ranges and desert. Therefore, there’s a wide variety of vegetation and wildlife. Furthermore, this road is adapted to each geographical zone that goes through.
